He blessed me with my copyright! You guys, I'm so thankful! It may be one step, but it's one step closer to the future publication! 

You guys heard it here first! A new romance drama that you won't be able to put down. It's a story one year in the making, and my pride and joy as my debut novel!

Glass Half Empty is a dual-perspective, contemporary drama/romance of healing, faith, and second chances, set in Albuquerque, New Mexico. 

Through the eyes of Xavier Caldero, a real estate agent grappling with regret and routine, and Emilia Garcia, a politically-minded dance instructor struggling to rise above past trauma, the novel follows the complexity of adulthood of those who have an unhealed past. Their shared history haunts them—until fate brings them back together six years after their painful fallout, surprisingly at a work event!

With cinematic flashbacks, emotionally resonant prose, and deeply human characters, Glass Half Empty explores the scars of domestic abuse, betrayal, and broken dreams while offering hope and redemption through connection and courage. Emotional depth is further explored through the alternating perspectives of Xavier and Emilia, offering insight into their struggles, ambitions, and memories of lost love. The character development makes both protagonists feel raw and real. Xavier is a man burdened by regret, stuck in routine, and seeking purpose beyond the ghosts of his past. Emilia, on the other hand, is a passionate and ambitious woman navigating her path while dealing with the shadows of her childhood trauma. Their dynamic is both heart-wrenching and hopeful, as their connection unfolds in a way that feels genuine and earned.

Glass Half Empty is a story of healing, forgiveness, and the possibility of a love that never truly died. With help from friends, faith, and fate, Xavier and Emilia must choose whether to mend the past or let it break them once more.

I've been interested in and engaged in writing since middle school. My dad loves to talk about the horror story I wrote in 6th grade. It was so horrendous and gory that my teacher requested I read it to the 8th-grade classes.  I have a very creative mind... Writing Origins

In middle school, I wrote a delectably horrendous horror story, full of blood and gore, beautifully detailing the character and the events of these marble/orbs that were violent (if my memory serves correctly, I wish I still had the original copy).  My family was freaked out. My teacher  loved  it. She even asked me to read the story to an 8th-grade class. I remember the nerves sitting atop the wooden barstool at the front of the class of big-kid students staring up at me expectantly (I was a short 6th grader). I remember my back tightening and my arms shaking as I cleared my throat and began reading. Afterwards, there was applause, and then I went back to class.  It was the proudest moment in my young writing career! December. For some, it's a cheery month. A season of quality family time with those near and dear. Holidays and parties galore. Smiles and drinks all around. For others... December is a time of bleakness. A time of anxiety and panic with the thought of seeing that person. Worrying whether or not the family drama will involve you or not. A time of anger and frustration. When domestic violence and abuse crime rates rise to the highest they've been all year.
